This public policy has the same 18 sections, effective date, publisher identity, contact, and meaning as the policy included inside the app.
1. Responsible entity, scope, and effective date
Herdpower Inc is the publisher responsible for Room & Rhythm on Android. This policy explains the behavior of version 1.0.0 of the app and applies from August 4, 2026. It does not describe unrelated websites, services, residences, or third-party practices.
2. Intended audience and adult-use boundary
Room & Rhythm is a general educational toolkit for adults organizing ordinary shared-living routines. It is not designed for children, does not create a participant or resident relationship, and does not authorize one adult to supervise, assess, admit, or make decisions for another.
3. Purpose and principal functions
The app provides sixteen educational modules, a six-zone House Table, Rhythm Ribbon filters, Notice/Say/Try views, a three-slot Routine Tray, and a Key Ring for generic favorites and display choices. Its content supports discussion and planning; it does not provide housing, care, treatment, case management, eligibility, or emergency response.
4. Data collected, transmitted, and not collected
The app does not collect or transmit personal data off the device. It has no Internet permission, server, account, advertising, analytics, telemetry, remote configuration, or tracking SDK. It does not request names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise location, contacts, photos, audio, identifiers, payment data, or health information.
5. On-device preferences and session state
Room & Rhythm stores only optional app-state choices in Android SharedPreferences: the selected Rhythm Ribbon context, up to three module identifiers in the Routine Tray, a set of favorited module identifiers, and two display toggles. These generic values remain on the device and do not identify a person.
6. Sensitive records, youth records, and free-text notes
The app offers no free-text field and is not a system of record. It must not be used for resident profiles, youth records, care notes, diagnoses, medications, incidents, attendance, behavior tracking, protected characteristics, benefits, legal matters, or other sensitive information. Anonymous handoff tokens refer only to shared tasks, not people.
7. Permissions and device access
Version 1.0.0 declares no runtime or dangerous Android permissions and does not request Internet, storage, camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, notifications, Bluetooth, or sensor access. Any future version that changes permissions or device access will be reflected in an updated policy and Play declarations.
8. Accounts, login, and account deletion
Room & Rhythm has no registration, login, user account, authentication credential, or server-side profile. Account deletion is therefore not applicable. Users can remove the optional local choices at any time through the Key Ring controls or by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app.
9. Ads, analytics, tracking, attribution, and SDKs
The app contains no ads, analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, social, payment, identity, cloud, or tracking SDK. It does not create advertising identifiers, build marketing profiles, measure engagement off device, or send diagnostic events. AndroidX libraries provide only local Android interface support.
10. Sharing, disclosure, sale, and third parties
Because Room & Rhythm does not transmit user data, the app does not share, disclose, rent, or sell user data to Herdpower Inc or third parties. The publisher cannot retrieve local preferences from a device through the app. Device operating-system and app-store providers act under their own terms outside this app.
11. External links, contact, export, and network behavior
The app contains no web browser, external link action, email intent, contact form, upload, download, share sheet, file export, or network request. Policy and support information is included as local text. A separately deployed public support site does not change the offline behavior of the Android app.
12. Retention of local choices
Generic module favorites, Routine Tray identifiers, the selected rhythm, and display toggles remain until the user changes or clears them, Android removes app data, or the app is uninstalled. No retention schedule applies to a publisher database because the app has no publisher database or server copy.
13. Deletion, backup, restore, and device transfer
Key Ring includes separate controls to clear the Routine Tray, clear saved module keys, and reset all local choices. Android backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled in the manifest and data-extraction rules, so the app does not intentionally back up or transfer its preferences. Any future change to backup or transfer behavior will be reflected in an updated policy and Play declarations.
14. Security measures and practical limits
The privacy design minimizes risk by avoiding accounts, network access, free text, sensitive fields, permissions, and third-party telemetry. Local choices still depend on the security of the device and its operating system. A person with access to an unlocked device may see the selected modules and display choices.
15. Children, Families, and safeguarding
Room & Rhythm is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 or presented as a children’s app. It does not collect age, create youth profiles, enable chat, or connect adults and children. The app does not replace safeguarding duties, guardian involvement, authorized supervision, or emergency procedures where those are required.
16. Health, wellness, safety, and professional-advice limits
The app does not diagnose, treat, cure, monitor, or prevent any medical or mental-health condition and is not a medical device. Attention Reset, Conflict Pause, and Safety Sweep are general educational prompts, not therapy, crisis response, professional inspection, legal advice, or emergency service. Seek qualified or emergency help when appropriate.
17. Policy changes and user choices
A future version that adds network access, accounts, data entry, sharing, export, analytics, advertising, or a new SDK will require a policy and Play declaration review before release. A revised effective date and updated in-app and public policy will identify material changes. Users may decline optional local features and use the educational reading content without saving choices.
